Human Rights Department organizes awareness workshop for security members in Aden the capital

The Human Rights Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council organized, today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, in the capital, Aden, an awareness workshop on human rights for southern security members that will last for two days.

The Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, delivered a speech at the opening of the workshop, in which he thanked the southern security men for all their efforts and their great role in maintaining security and stability in every inch of the homeland of the South.

In his speech, Al-Jaadi indicated that the Southern Transitional Council is keen to develop the human rights knowledge of the southern army and security personnel, and the ways to deal with citizens, wishing all participants in the workshop to make maximum use of it, and transfer its knowledge to other units, and apply the training that will be provided on their practical professional reality.

On the first day of the workshop, Dr. Ali Al-Awlaki, the trainer of the workshop, trained the participants on international law and human rights, and on the basic and legislative principles established for the protection of human rights, and the rights related to oneself, the environment and the surrounding in which a person lives in and his inalienable right to enjoy peace and security for himself, his money and his honor.
