The Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, chaired today, Sunday, a joint meeting of the Supreme Economic Committee and the Supreme Military Commission of the Southern Army and Security.
At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Secretary-General welcomed the military authority, praising the heroic role of the southern armed forces, noting that they have been subjected to a malicious conspiracy after the occupation of the South.
Al-Jaadi stated that the Southern Transitional Council pays the military authority the most attention, pointing out that the general situation reveals great suffering among the southern soldiers, and that the solution to their issue is by political pressure, stressing that the Council stands with the just rights of the military and will not be far from it.
In turn, the head of the military authority, Major General Saleh Ali Zongul, said: “We trust you and appreciate your standing, and we trust our leadership represented by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and all the leaders of the Council,” noting that the army and southern security have faced marginalization and took the most share of torment, and became out of attention, as only its name left for it, and here we are today, making the military body to be a collector for us, through which we express our demands and rights, as well as the demands of the people of the south with it.
For his part, the Chairman of the Economic Committee, Mohammad Ali Matash, affirmed that the Economic Committee is part of the military’s concerns, and appreciates their role and suffering, noting that the issue of the military is top priority for the committee.
In conclusion, the meeting came up with a number of proposals, the most important of which are forming a joint committee, exerting pressure on the external level by submitting signed letters to the sponsoring countries, and following up on the Central Bank in the capital, Aden, to find out the reasons for not paying the salaries of the southern security and army, in addition to developing a practical study on military and security institutions and what can be done. services to be provided.
