The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, and Major General Salem Al-Socotri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries in the Government of power-sharing, met with the Head of the Transitional Council Executive in Socotra Archipelago, Mr. Raafat Ali Al-Thaqali, and a number of members of the Executive body of the Council in the governorate.
During the meeting, Bin Brik and Al-Socotri listened to an explanation of what the local leadership of the council in Socotra accomplished during the last stage, and the mechanisms for activating the work of the National Assembly’s committees and the general secretariat departments in the archipelago.
Major General Bin Brik and Major General Al Socotri praised what has been accomplished during the past year in enabling the administration of the island away from the suspicious activity of the hostile forces, stressing the importance of strengthening work and media activity in the districts in line with the requirements of the stage in a professional manner, to highlight the activities and events and the achievements in them on the ground, as well as highlighting the rich cultural and heritage of Socotra.
