The National Southern Media Authority holds a meeting headed by Al-Kathiri and attended by Al-Halimi

The National Southern Media Authority, on Sunday, held a meeting in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, and in the presence of Mr. Murad Al-Halimi, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, head of the External Southern National Dialogue Team.

The Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority welcomed the head of the Southern Dialogue team, providing a brief explanation of structure of the National Authority and its sectors, and its tasks to support the southern media and to promote the southern media message.

Al-Kathiri emphasized the role played by the National Southern Media Authority in supporting the Southern National Dialogue Team and highlighting the team’s national role in the interest of the South and its cause and people.

For his part, Al-Halimi presented a brief update of the Southern National Dialogue and its latest developments, praising the role played by the National Southern Media Authority in reflecting the importance of dialogue and openness to all national forces in a way that serves all parties and addresses people’s issues.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the southern media and the developments related to the media in the South. It also reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding the first conference for southern media professionals and journalists, stressing the importance of this event and the need to prepare for it as required.
