The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting, on Tuesday, chaired by General Major Ben Brik acting in charge of the STC and the chairman of the National Assembly.
At its meeting, the Presidium stood before the Houthi attacks on the ports of Al-Dhaba and Al-Nashima in Hadramout and Shabwa governorates, affirming that these attacks mean the unilateral termination of all agreements signed with the Houthi militia, which necessitates the cancellation of all facilities provided to it under the Stockholm Agreement and the UN-med-truce, which the militia repudiated its renewal and met with a comprehensive military escalation on all fronts including the aggressive attacks on the oil ports of Al-Dabba and Al-Nashima.
The Presidium warned against keeping of either of the two agreements will push the Houthi militia to go further in its aggressive attacks. In this respect, the Presidium reiterated its demand for the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) to urgently transfer the forces of the First Military Division in Valley of Hadramout to the fronts to assume their responsibilities in the face of Houthi threats.
The Presidium stressed the speedy completion of the procedures resulting from the announcement of the National Defense Council, classifying the Houthi militia as a terrorist group, consolidating regional and international efforts to adopt this classification at the international level, in addition to ceasing all kinds of facilities, and communications with this terrorist militia.
Furthermore, the presidium discussed the file of collecting sovereign revenues, and those evading supply to the Central Bank, affirming its full support for imposing the state’s authority on the sea port in Ras Al-A’ra to follow the concerned State institutions, as well as to control and collect the resources of the land ports in Hadramout and Almahra, and making the necessary arrangements to ensure supplying to the state treasury.
To the end of the meeting, the Presidium stood before several topics and issues on its agenda and took appropriate measures in such regard.
