Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kathiri, member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), and Brigadier General Saeed Ahmad al-Mohammadi, head of the local leadership executive body in the governorate of Hadhramout, participated on Monday evening in an oratorical and artistic celebration to commemorate the 7th anniversary of liberating the Coast of Hadhramaut from al-Qaeda elements.

This festival, which was organized by the popular campaign in Hadhramaut to express constant gratitude to the United Arab Emirates, was displayed with fireworks, which decorated the sky of Mukalla in many different colours.

Mr. Al-Kathiri delivered a speech at the festival, which was under the patronage of the governor of Hadramout, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madhi, in which he expressed his congratulations to the people of the governorate on this immortal national occasion, once again commending those heroes and volunteers in that heroic epic, from the Hadrami elite forces, and from all governorates of our beloved South.

Al-Kathiri appreciated the great role of the Emirati brothers in the liberation process, affirming that the joy of the people of Hadramout will not be complete unless the liberation of the Valley is fulfilled and the Yemeni forces are expelled, in implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and Consultations, and in fulfillment of the aspirations of our people to manage their own affairs, enable them to benefit from their resources, and deploy elite Hadhrami forces in different parts of Hadramout.

Al-Kathiri called on the people of Hadramout, with their various tribal and political affiliations, to further line up and unite to be masters of their land.

The festival, which was attended by Eng. Amin Saeed Barzeeq, deputy governor for technical affairs, social and political personalities, cultural and media professionals, military and security officers, and a huge gathering of citizens, included various artistic and cultural excerpts from the Emirati and Hadrami glorious heritage, performed by a number of famous artists and well-known folk groups that acquired the approbation of all.
