Al-Muharrami Highlights Importance of Solar Energy Project and Directs Inspection Progress of Work

The Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Mr. Abd-al-Rahman Abu Zara’a al-Muharrami, underscored today, Wednesday, the importance of the solar power plant project, which is a strategic project for renewable and clean energy, noting that it is one of the solutions that will alleviate the suffering of electricity service and make an alternative solution for the electricity crisis.

The vice president of the STC appreciated the multifaceted support of the United Arab Emirates in various fields, including the solar power plant project with a capacity of “120” megawatts, whose preparations are devotedly progressing. Again, Al-Muharrami sincerely thanked the brothers in the UAE and its wise leadership for their incessant support for the capital, Aden, in many various aspects.

As part of the keenness and interest in completing the project on time, Al-Muharrami directed the project monitoring and follow-up team to go to the field to inspect the progress of the solar energy system project in Bir Ahmed area, which in turn was briefed on developments and the nature of the ongoing work, as the team reported that the equipment and rehabilitation of the site are underway and work is ongoing to lay the concrete bases that hold the solar panels.
