The Institutional Development Commission (IDC) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), in partnership with the Legal and Human Rights Commission and the Restructuring Committee of the STC, organized today, Monday, in the capital, Aden, the second awareness workshop on the tasks and jurisdictions of the auxiliary commissions of the Presidium of the STC, in the presence of Mr. Fadhl Mohammad Al-Gaadi, member of the STC’s Presidium and Deputy Secretary-General.
At the start of the workshop, Mr. Al-Gaadi reviewed the results of the first workshop held last June, stressing the importance of this workshop to keep pace with the requirements of structuring, develop the activities and performance of all the STC’s bodies, and consolidate the pillars of institutional work.
For his part, Mr. Saeed Saadan, head of the IDC, indicated that such a workshop came in implementation of the directives of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi to discuss and crystallize the amended regulations for the work of the bodies and clarify the task-specific jurisdictions of the heads and deputies of the auxiliary bodies as per the amended statute of the STC.
Dr. Sa’ad Mohammed Sa’ad, head of the Legal and Human Rights Commission, delivered a speech in which he gave an explanation about the legal texts included in the STC’s bylaws, highlighting the importance of a good understanding of these regulations to ensure a proper application during the implementation of the tasks stipulated in the internal regulations of the work of the bodies.
The workshop discussed the tasks, jurisdictions, mechanisms, and means of work of the auxiliary commissions, clarifying the planning mechanism, determining the relationship between the various commissions of the STC, and methods of preparing the general budget, follow-up, and evaluation.
In the workshop, the heads of the assisting commissions made a number of interventions on the internal work regulations, the amended statutes of the STC, and the tasks and jurisdictions of each commission.
The workshop came out with many significant recommendations that will contribute to promoting and developing the organizational performance of the STC and methods of preparing plans and implementing initiatives as per the STC’s orientations to achieve the goals and aspirations of the people of the South.
