Al-Kathiri Discusses with Al-Hajjar Ways to Attract Foreign Investment to the Capital, Aden

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, received today, Wednesday, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hajjar, a representative of a group of foreign investors and international trade agencies.

In the beginning of the meeting, Al-Kathiri welcomed Dr. Al-Hajjar and the coordinating committee to attract investment opportunities, highlighting that the capital, Aden in particular, and the South in general are characterized by many attractive economic and investment factors, components, and opportunities that deserve attention from local and foreign investors alike.

The meeting then discussed a range of suggestions and visions to open investment horizons to foreign capital through the preparation of a matrix of projects in the basic economic and service sectors, starting from the capital, Aden, and from there to the rest of the governorates of the South.

Al-Kathiri affirmed the STC’s readiness to encourage any serious entrepreneurs and investments and to provide all facilities in this aspect, directing the start of procedural and organizational steps in coordination with the local authority to study any investments and organize their work in accordance with regulations and laws.
