The STC Welcomes the Central Bank’s Decision to Move Headquarters of Commercial, Islamic and Microfinance Banks to the Capital Aden

The Southern Transitional Council (STC) welcomes the decision taken by the Central Bank, Head Office Aden, obliging commercial banks, Islamic banks, and microfinance banks to move their headquarters to the capital, Aden. This decision comes as part of the Central Bank’s ongoing efforts to put an end to the illegal actions taken by the Houthi terrorist militia, which has issued counterfeit currency and continued to destroy the financial and banking system in the country.

While the STC affirms its welcome, praise, and support for this step, it emphasizes the importance of the concerned authorities in the financial and banking sectors assuming their responsibilities and providing all facilities required to bring the Central Bank’s decision into reality on the ground and within the specified period.
