Mr. Ram Prasad, Acting Ambassador of the Republic of India to our country, accompanied by Colonel J.S. Grewal, the military attaché at the embassy, and Mr. Mohammed Shabir, undersecretary in the Embassy.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president Al-Zubaidi expressed his thanks, on behalf of the PLC, for the kind position of the esteemed government of India towards our people, which included unbanning the export of wheat to our country in light of the global food crisis caused by the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, affirming that this humanitarian position is highly appreciated by our people and the political leadership.

The meeting discussed the strong bilateral relations that have existed between our country and the Republic of India, and ways to consolidate and develop these relations, in addition to bilateral cooperation in the security, military and economic fields, and to promote the training, qualifying, and building capacities of cadres of our government institutions.
