Similarly, the Presidium highlighted the importance of the visits abroad of the President of the STC, which aim to meet with regional and international decision makers, leaders, officials, and actors in affairs of the South and the region, to strengthen the position of the South and its role in the peace process, and to avoid the negative impacts resulting from threatening international navigation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and the Gulf of Aden and its implications on the national security of the South and the countries of the region in general.

Furthermore, the Presidium discussed a report submitted by the Training and Qualification Commission (TQC) on its performance for the second half of last year (2023), praising the efforts made by the TQC to enhance the capabilities of the STC’s staff and members of civil society organizations and stressing the importance of continuing coordination with the various bodies of the STC to develop and improve the performance of the staff in the work-related areas of each body.
